Hallie Lucas subscribes to a holistic approach to health care and loves to witness people’s health journey, seeing them thrive, not just survive. She values the personal interactions she has with the people in her care. Getting to know them well provides her a better opportunity to help them set and achieve their health goals. She is energized by watching people make positive progress in their health even when they did not believe they could.
In her nearly ten years as a nurse, Hallie has worked in a hospital, for an employee health clinic and a health care start-up company. At St. David’s South Austin Hospital in Austin, Texas, she worked with people needing cardiac care. She practiced community and occupational health as a nurse at the Travis County Employee Health Clinic in Austin, and then added the roles of nurse navigator, mentor, and consultant at a start-up orthopedic surgery center. Hallie aims to get outside and move daily and considers food as medicine. She volunteers at a yoga studio where her goal is to get her yoga teacher certification.
