Laura Smith loves helping people set their own health goals and collaborating with them to achieve success. She spends time with each person in her care, allowing them to express their physical or mental health goals and possible barriers. Then, she works with other Harbor Health physicians and specialists to guide the person on the best health journey possible. Laura has special interests in preventative care and women’s wellness, and she strives to help people not just get healthy, but stay healthy.

Laura has professional experience with adult and pediatric patients. As a nurse, she worked in both the postpartum unit and emergency department. She worked as an advanced practice provider at a women’s healthcare clinic in Austin, Texas, caring for women in all stages of life. Prior to joining Harbor Health, she provided patients with in-home care as well as virtual visits through her work with an Austin based startup. Laura admits setting her own health priorities can be challenging while raising young twin boys, but she makes time for yoga, preparing meals at home and connecting with friends on the trail.
