Dr. Meagan Williams strives to meet people she cares for right where they are. She encourages them to bring their goals, lives and preferences to the table, while she brings her medical expertise. Together, they collaborate to co-create health. Dr. Williams creates a non judgemental atmosphere that allows people to feel safe and welcome and able to share anything on their minds. She values the importance of teamwork and relies on nurses, health guides and specialists at Harbor Health to help produce the most optimal health outcomes.
Dr. Williams completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington focusing on primary care and women’s health. She helped create the “Women’s Health Pathway” that is now part of that program’s primary care track. It was during that time, Dr. Williams developed a special interest in sex and gender based women’s health treatment, research and education. She is also interested in reproductive justice and trauma-informed care both in her professional and volunteer work. Dr. Williams prioritizes having margin in her life in order to do things she enjoys such as rock climbing, running and spending time with family and friends.
