Nancy Quiroz has always wanted to play a role in transforming health care. As a registered nurse with Harbor Health, she strives to build trust with every person she cares for by listening to them and offering them care plans and support. She strongly believes health clinics should be very comfortable places where people feel heard and known, and not places that are revolving doors of few care options.
Nancy’s interest in the medical field began early in her life. She became a certified medical assistant right out of high school and worked in that role for fifteen years. She is passionate about sharing her story of overcoming economic hardship to finally go to college and pursue her dream of nursing. Nancy speaks to groups of young people, inspiring them to look past their barriers and dream. After completing her associates and bachelor degrees, she worked at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas in the intensive care unit, the emergency department and other areas. Nancy hopes to be a healthy role model to the people she cares for and her friends and family members. She values open and receptive conversations to manage relationships and mental health.
