Karla Jurado strives to empower the people who visit her at Harbor Health so they can take an active role in their own care. As she coaches people through their health journey, she focuses on being authentic, reliable and supportive. She says her role is to be a non-judgemental accountability partner as people move towards their health goals. Karla speaks Spanish and English and has experience working with diverse groups of people.

Karla enjoys working in all areas of pediatrics, including coaching parents on childhood sleep issues and tantrum management. One of her passions is helping families and children with developmental delays. Before Harbor Health, she served as a case manager at Easter Seals of Central Texas in Austin, Texas. She provided parent guidance in coordinating care among multiple health providers. Karla strongly believes she must care for her well-being in order to care for others. Her self care secrets include daily walks with her dog, reading for ten minutes a day and laughing ten times a day.
