Dr. Charu Sawhney prioritizes listening to people in her care to truly get to know them and understand their concerns. She wants to be an intimate part of a person’s health journey to maintain and improve the health of the mind, body, and future self. Dr. Sawhney practices evidence-based medicine with adults combined with a preventive approach as she works with people on nutrition, exercise, lifestyle modification, and medication to help them achieve their health goals. Her areas of interest include public health, population-based health, behavior change research, and obesity medicine.

Dr. Sawhney encourages people to make small incremental changes in their wellness routines and follows her own advice. She believes all of the small bits of physical movement she makes throughout her day can positively impact her health. In addition, healthy meal prepping, intermittent fasting, and personal therapy all keep her grounded and balanced. Dr. Sawhney enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and hiking as well as spending time with her husband and two children.
